It depends on your exact needs, but the Brooks Adrenaline is a good shoe for plantar fasciitis. However, we haven’t included them in our list since we have found other choices that have been rated higher by those suffering with heel pain. Those that need more cushion, arch support and a few other factors all play a part.
According to our reviews, the best running shoes for plantar fasciitis are the Brooks Ghost 11. The Vionic Walker is our top-rated casual shoe for women with heel pain.
These ratings are based on accumulated online reviews and the preference of those that are dealing with plantar fasciitis.
According their site, the Brooks Adrenaline 19 is designed for those with Flat or Medium arches. Like many of their shoes, it has a 12mm heel-to-toe drop, taking pressure off the heel and putting it more on the forefoot.
From the Brooks website, they suggest some guidelines for plantar fasciitis that could work best. Typically they find “shoes with a higher drop from heel to toe, good cushion to take the impact away, and sometimes a less flexible option” may help those with heel pain.
Since many of their shoes fit those characteristics, you would be better off if you determine your walking style first in order to find the shoe that is most suitable to your needs.
Brooks suggests that if you Pronate, you will probably be looking more at their Support shoes. However, if you have a Neutral gait or even Supinate, then you might want to check out shoes in their Neutral category.
Neutral: Ghost, Glycerine
Support: Adrenaline GTS, Addiction
Overpronate: Ariel (their maximum support shoe)
